Sleep Technologists

Sleep HealthCenters, the largest provider of sleep services in Massachusetts, is hiring skilled sleep technologists. We are recruiting technologists at all levels and have a planned track of progression for technologists wishing to advance in sleep medicine. Sleep technologists are needed for performing polysomnograms (night shifts); part time, per-diem and full time positions are available.

Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates require experience in performing and/or scoring sleep studies. Candidates should enjoy interacting with patients and have a strong customer service focus. Moderate computer skills required. BRPT registry (RPSGT) is preferred. EEG technologist or Respiratory Therapist background is a plus.

Patient Care Coordinator

Summary:  Sleep HealthCenters takes pride in providing excellent customer service along with the highest quality of care to all patients.  The Patient Care Coordinator position is the first contact that most patients have with our company.  Sleep HealthCenters is always looking for detail-oriented and organized candidates that can juggle a busy environment while providing friendly and helpful care to our patients.    

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors.
  • Check-in and Check-out patients following established procedures.
  • Record patient vital signs at the time of clinical visits.
  • Schedule and reschedule patient appointments (sleep studies, consultations, follow-up visits and the CPAP clinic).
  • Gather all necessary demographic and insurance information for new patients and verify information on patients returning for services.
  • Answer all incoming calls.
  • Work closely and establish good relationships with patients, referring providers and SHC providers and staff.
  • Secure appropriate insurance referral authorization for patients when required by the insurance carrier.
  • Ensure that all SHC referrals are entered into order entry system the same day as they are received by fax, email, or phone.
  • Prepare and submit billing information daily for the clinic.
  • Complete sleep study reports and maintain sleep study activity databases (if applicable to position).
  • Complete chart preparation for both clinical and laboratory services appointments.
  • Attend monthly trainings as necessary and mandatory PCC meetings throughout the year.
  • Perform additional duties or projects identified by PCC Supervisor or Manager.

Accredited Sleep Technologist Education Program

A-STEP, the Accredited Sleep Technologist Education Program, is a two-step training initiative endorsed by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). 

STEP 1 is an 80-hour program offered at Sleep HealtCenters, one of the first accredited A-STEP providers in the nation. 

STEP 2 can be fulfilled through your employer’s on-the-job training program and web-based e-learning modules.

Sleep Technologists observe patients during sleep in order to identify sleep disorders. This involves application and monitoring of diagnostic equipment and initiation of therapy. With this training, new technologists will learn the basics of brain, heart and airway anatomy and physiology, how to monitor sleep and identify sleep disorders. Trainees will gain experience with application of monitoring equipment, identification of sleep stages and sleep events, and knowledge of the most commonly used interventions.

At Sleep HealtCenters’ Sleep Technologist Education Program, you will:

  • Learn from proven and nationally accredited trainers on state-of-the-art equipment.
  • Earn credentials recognized by the AASM and the Association of Polysomnographic Technologists (APT).
  • Complete the first step to entering the field of sleep technology.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a high school degree.

Lab Managers and Lab Coordinators

Sleep HealthCenters, the largest provider of sleep services in Massachusetts, is seeking highly motivated individuals to fill Lab Manager and Lab Coordinator positions. These positions will provide significant growth opportunities for successful candidates. The positions provide the opportunity to work directly with nationally recognized and board certified sleep physicians in a clinical, teaching and research environment.

A Lab Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of an individual laboratory of 4-8 beds. A Lab Coordinator may either assist a Lab Manager in the operation of a 6-8 bed lab or may be responsible for the day-to-day operations of a 2-4 bed lab.Managers and Coordinators may cover for their peers on a rotating basis, allowing for more personal time without call responsibility.

Minimum Qualifications: Experience and a full working knowledge of sleep recording, scoring, CPAP and BiPAP titration and other technical aspects of sleep diagnosis are required. These positions require management, computer, and human resource skills, along with a high degree of knowledge in sleep medicine. Candidates should have experience in the scientific and medical arena, a good work ethic, and the ability to work independently.They should be self-motivated and enjoy interacting with patients.These positions require RPSGT and CPR certification. EEG or respiratory backgrounds are a plus.

Respiratory Therapists

Consider an exciting opportunity to join Sleep HealthCenters, the largest provider of sleep diagnostics and treatment in Massachusetts. We are seeking individuals to provide CPAP/BiPAP therapy with ongoing support in a clinic setting during daytime work hours. We have full, part-time and per diem positions available for licensed Respiratory Therapists.

Minimum Qualifications:
Previous experience with CPAP/BiPAP administration is desirable, but we will train a motivated individual. RNs and LPNs looking for a career change are also welcome to apply. Candidates should enjoy interacting with patients and have a strong customer service focus.
