Location: Wilmington, MA
Reports To: Reimbursement Manager
SUMMARY:
Seeking experienced Medical Billing/Collections Representative to work insurance claims and collect patient balances. Position will report to the Reimbursement Manager and interact with various staff members and other sites. Position requires careful attention to detail. Medical billing or knowledge is required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparing and submitting clean claims to various insurance companies
- Addressing claim denials and rejections that delay payment in order to ensure prompt resolution
- Obtaining and tracking compliance information from patients to get authorization on PAP machines/ supplies for various payers
- Assisting Patient Care staff members and Providers with a variety of patient questions and issues throughout the day
- Answering patient phone calls with billing inquiries
- Communicating with patients about benefits, balances, and any other questions/concerns
QUALIFICATIONS:

2-3 years minimum relevant work experience

Working knowledge of CPT, HCPC, & ICD-9 coding
