Location: Wilmington, MA
Reports To: Verification Team Lead
SUMMARY:
Seeking experienced insurance verifier to verify patient benefits; obtain prior authorizations and/ or referrals. The candidate will also answer patient phone calls concerning their balances, etc. The candidate will interact with various staff members and other sites. Position requires careful attention to detail. Medical billing or knowledge is helpful, but not required. Experience in insurance verification and speaking directly with patients is required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Verifying insurance benefits
- Obtaining prior authorizations and/or referrals
- Answering patient phone calls with billing inquiries
- Communicating with patients about benefits, balances, and any other questions/concerns
- Obtaining compliance information from patients to get authorization on CPAP machines for various payers
- Assisting Patient Care staff members and Providers with a variety of patient questions and issues throughout the day
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years minimum relevant work experience
